EDI Analyst/Developer Position
Analyzes and defines EDI requirements for clients, especially for needs and circumstances that are slightly unusual.- Provides advice and education to clients concerning EDI guidelines and capabilities.
- Creates, develops, and produces mapping documents.
- Collaborates with programmers and internal staff to develop and test new or modified systems.
- Develops and maintains communication links with trading partners and oversees integration of information.
- Periodically reviews system to ensure client needs are met; identifies possible modifications as required.
- Remains current regarding EDI and internet field technological developments.
- Must have experience with supply chain processes (all customers are in the supply chain industry)
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of EDI documents and experience working with EDI systems (testing and document specs, segments and elements).
- Ability to troubleshoot, gather data and explain issues so they can be resolved.
- Proficient in Windows server environment and network experience.
- Proficient working with a Mac and the Mac OS.
- Proficient in SQL. Reading, writing and editing basic SQL statements.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with distribution X12 EDI, like 850, 855, 856, 810, 846 and 867.
- Basic understanding and working knowledge of EDI formats and Internet functions.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team in a remote environment.
- A plus – Experience with the ERP system Prophet 21(also known as P21)
- A plus – experience working with 3rd party EDI testing through companies like Amazon, Ariba, SPS Commerce and DiCentral.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field required.
- At least three years of experience in an EDI service center required.
- At least three years of experience as a Delphi, C# or C++ developer.
- Ability to sit up for eight (8) hours
- Ability to read instructions, reports and information on computer screen
- Ability to talk and hear to communicate properly with clients and Comparatio employees
- Ability to operate a computer for up to eight (8) hours
